First an Islamic man, using a knife, threatens a woman reading the Bible. Then he gets angry with the bus driver and afterward robs a homeless man.
The protagonist of the attack, yesterday afternoon in Viale Aldo Moro in Bologna, was a 39 year old Moroccan. The man was arrested by police for aggravated robbery, serious threats, domestic violence, and interruption of public service.
The Moroccan’s first outburst was against a 40 year old Ukrainian woman who was traveling on the bus. Apparently, the woman was reading on a tablet parts of the Bible. According to witnesses, the man wanted her to quit, he then brandished a knife and mimed the gesture of cutting her throat. The bus driver, a Neapolitan aged 38 stopped the bus with the four passengers. The Moroccan exited the bus, before doing so he grabbed a bag belonging to the driver on which he urinated.
Once on the street Moroccan turned his wrath against a beggar Bengali. After having pulled out the knife once again, he made the man hand over his wallet, though, it was empty. When the police arrived, the immigrant was still in the area. On him they found the weapon with which he threatened the woman and the homeless man: a knife with a 11 cm blade. He was arrested and brought to to jail. The prosecutor on duty asked for the man, who had previously been arrested for robbery , theft, and injury to remain in prison.
