Antonio Rapisarda from the columns of Il Tempo, a Roman daily historian, interviews Roberto Fiore, National Forza Nuova Secretary on the Patriot marches scheduled for Saturday, October 28, and the related controversies. Roberto Fiore, is it fair to come down in the square with Forza Nuova on October 28? There is no doubt about this, I do not see any contraindications. This story of the reconstruction of the Fascist party is absolutely irrelevant. We confirm: we are absolutely right to go to the square on the 28th.
Critics did not come from the left alone, indeed. CasaPound claims that you have the right, of course, to manifest but firmly stigmatized the choice of date.
I do not see where the scandal is. We have always maintained that for our events there are neither prohibited dates nor prohibited places. This is a legacy that was created by left for seventy years, saying that a given city is a gold medal. Adhering to this concept means adhering to a post-war logic that does not belong to us. We believe that any date, any place on the national territory is suitable for our events that have in any case a contingent and political value.
Again, Casapound claims that the Rsi manifesto that you have “revisited” in anti-strumming is a scandalous find.
First of all, the Boccasile poster was not used only for the “Moroccans”. That was a poster used compared a danger that emerged in several areas. We also consider it very adherent to today’s reality because the aberrant logic of war and the aberrant logic of the invasion of mass immigrants coincide. I can not forget the New Year’s Eve in Cologne where thousands of German women had been sexually harassed: or all these accidents of no value to something that is not only statistical but also cultural, or we are in full right to claim continuity between that manifesto, what happened in Cologne and that, unfortunately, happened in Rimini.
It is to be said that on the contrast to immigration and to ius alone you and CasaPound say similar things.
Not only. This is also the case for other parties. Salvini talked about “More Cubs Less Pil”, and this is our talk. Meloni speaks of monetary sovereignty, Berlusconi is scrambling against the ius sole: all the speeches that Forza Nuova has been carrying out since 1997. We are delighted that other formations are taking our positions. We can claim, for the sake of pride of movement, the birthright, copyright: but, again, we are glad that FdI, CasaPound, League and Forza Italia are coming to our own conclusions.
What then divides you from CasaPound?
I say that at this time we have to look more closely at what unites us: IUS, the demand for monetary sovereignty and not just that. Of course, we have a Christian conception of society and politics: this certainly is not shared by Cpi. But in this emergency phase, we believe that all the nation’s healthy forces must make a common effort to save their homeland.
They point to you as the “guelphs”.
I am a Ghibelline but that is not the point: we do not want to quote, in quotation marks. Certainly, on our part, we have understood that Italy and Europe are not saved with a mere social, cultural, electoral exercise.
To save Italy and Europe is to engage with what is the great Roman, Greek, and Christian tradition of Europe. If you do not understand this you risk not saving Italy. On the other hand, the political chronicle is providing us with remarkable help: Putin is doing this and has connected the great Russian mother; Poland has consecrated the nation to the sacred heart of Jesus; Hungary has a constitution calling for Santo Stefano. We believe that besides a fact of faith, it is a matter of political pragmatism to understand this essential point.
Would you show up with the arrow turtles?
We are with all those who want to participate in the exciting project called “save the country”. For the 28th of October we will invite them as well as the Tricolor Flame and the center-right parties.
