Forty years ago, the young man of the Youth Front, Francesco Cecchin, died in Rome after 18 days of agony, following the attack suffered by a large number of leftist militants from the Trieste district.
The Militant Community Irpina, on the occasion of the forty-year anniversary of the death of the young activist of the Youth Front will go, without roles, acronyms and parties, with the purity of militancy, to Nusco where he is buried, to honor him, as this note confirms to us that we gladly publish.
TO DIE DOES NOT MEAN TO LOSE. This was the first manifesto of the Avellino Youth Front to commemorate the extreme sacrifice of Francesco Cecchin. Since then, since 1980, every year at the cemetery of Nusco between 15 and 16 June there is always someone who goes to honor his memory. A militant tradition that has been handed down year after year, and even today, 40 years after the tragic death of Francesco, in the presence of the chapel of the Cecchin family, many will gather in a liturgy of respect and memory.
Without roles, acronyms and parties, but only with the purity of militancy, which once a year is found and bows before those who, for the same ideas, have had to suffer martyrdom.
