That the main objective of the NGOs is to make noise, against the government and to trumpet the usual immigrationist message of the borderless, is quite evident if we look at the results obtained. In fact, in the last two months illegal immigrants land on Italian coasts continuously, but not thanks to the ships made available to them by non-governmental organizations. Today, for example, in Lampedusa three more landings took place in a few hours, for a total of 100 immigrants landed on the coasts of the Sicilian island. First an inflatable boat arrived with 81 Africans, left off Lampedusa by a fishing boat that immediately tried to break quickly towards the coasts of North Africa but was intercepted and blocked by a Guardia di Finanza.
A few hours later, two other “mini” landings in Lampedusa, with 12 and 7 immigrants coming probably, still not exactly known, from the same trapped fishing boat. In short, despite Salvini’s proclamations, objectively, it does not seem to attend the so-called “closed ports” , rather to a continuous flow of people coming from Africa and that are almost never identified before the landing on our shores.
Also today in Trieste and in a municipality in the province, San Dorligo della Valle, another 100 immigrants have been identified, almost all from Pakistan . Tracked by the police as they walked quietly between Piazzale Cagni, in the center of the Friulian capital, in the hamlet of Domio, near the border with Slovenia. The illegal immigrants were accompanied to the identification centers of Fernetti, Porto Nuovo and Questura to be identified.
A confirmation that regardless of the ports that are not properly closed, immigrants coming from Asia by land are constantly arriving in Italy. It is therefore not simply a matter of monitoring our coasts, there are obvious problems concerning the control of the border with Slovenia. Because it is above all from the latter country that incoming flows seem to be increasing.
